The other day, I mentioned that last year I make an inspiration board on Pinterest for 2012 instead of really doing New Year’s Resolutions, which worked for me. I did this same thing for this year. Here are some of the items on my 2013 Inspiration board.
Be a Super-Organized Student Teacher (and Real Teacher)
Teacher Lesson Planner from Erin Condren
A key component to not losing my mind during student teaching and my first year of teaching will be organization. And what better way to stay organized that with an extremely detailed (and cute) planner, like this one from Erin Condren? I’ve been drooling over her planners for over a year now, and I think it might be my congratulations-on-the-job present to myself later in the year.
Eat More Leafy Greens
Kale is wicked good for you!
Like a lot of people, I know that I don’t eat enough leafy greens. Unlike a lot of people, though, this lack of leafy greens causes a serious issue in my body. Anemia, low potassium, etc. can all cause large issues for me, and helping it can be as simple as roasting kale with olive oil and salt regularly. This bit of inspiration kind of goes into a larger category of exploring cooking. I love to cook and I have a kitchen, so I should do more of it, especially in healthy directions.
Not something like this, though.
Painting is incredibly therapeutic for me. However, I really struggle with painting “things,” like trying to make it looks like something. I tend to do better with sayings and monograms, but I still enjoy it. And that destressing technique will definitely be necessary over the next year.
