Yes, as you can tell from the title, I am one of the few Pinteresters who doesn’t have a wedding board. No future wedding planning on a social media site without an engagement ring for me. (Of course I’m not going to pretend that I haven’t been planning my wedding in my head since I was like 6, but I think it’s different to imagine it than to pick out specifics and share them with the Internet. Moving on.)
If I did have a wedding board, though, these are some of the things from the wedding of my “uncle” that I would pin. If you like them, hover over and pin them to your own board!
Miniature people? Nope, birds. Adorable.
His and hers cornhole, where one board looks like the bride’s dress and the other looks like the groom’s uniform. The groom is in the navy, so he wore his dress uniform, complete with alllll of those medals. (Bragging point: yes, he has actually earned all of those medals. Because my “uncle” has served our country ridiculously well.)
The reception was at a country club, so instead of a car the two took off in a golf cart.
This part actually wasn’t organized by the bride/mother of the bride/etc. A relative of the bride brought these things that are like large versions of glow sticks to spell out the couple’s names in the dark at the reception. Cute, right?
Like I said, my “uncle” is in the navy. He has actually be out in Hong Kong recently, and will be for the prospective future. His bride has been working for the Department of State, and has been in London. She is moving out to Hong Kong at the beginning of November to join him. Because of this intercontinental relationship, writing best wishes to the happy couple was a little different than other places. There was a guest book where you signed your name, but also a table with this sign on it and 4 stacks of post cards. You wrote them a note and left it in a jar for them to read later!
