Life as a Teacher: Fashion

First off, thank you to everyone who sent me supportive messages yesterday with my book announcement and last week with the announcement about Gus. I haven’t had time to respond, but I will soon!

Second, let’s get down to business to defeat the Huns. One of the benefits of being a teacher is that I don’t have to wear the same kind of daily office clothes that so many others do. To convince you, I bring Exhibit A: an example of what I wear on the average day.

WIWT: Teaching

I have a skirt very similar to this one from Target, as well as a yellow shirt like this. Most days I wear simple jewelry, but sometimes I spice it up with larger statement pieces, too. Finally, I do occasionally wear heels! I get mistaken for a student a lot and it helps. I don’t wear them every day, but some times, always with lots of bandaids, and they’re always low ones.

I love that I can play around with what I wear, unlike a lot of offices. What do you wear to work?

I wear scrubs to work haha. I wish I could dress cute and all up. So I try to find not-so-boxy scrub tops in pretty prints…but that's all I can do! But, that outfit is cute work or no work!
