Little Pick Me Ups

Life has been incredibly busy and stressful recently, and this week I just crashed. I’m talking didn’t move for hours on Saturday and binge watched Netflix kind of crashed. I really needed some way to recover before another long week of teaching (and life), so on Sunday I realized that if I didn’t help myself I wouldn’t be able to make it through the week. Here’s what I go back to over and over when I need a pick me up.

1. Yoga and meditation

I’ve talked about yoga over and over again, and I won’t start now. I haven’t been doing it regularly over the past few weeks, though, and need to start back up again.
2. Baking

This weekend, I baked chocolate muffins (that are free of gluten, dairy, and hydrogenated oil, of course). This picture is from over the summer, though.

3. Netflix

This weekend, I started watching House of Cards. So good!

4. Prayer

I’m Catholic, and praying (especially using a rosary) has always made me feel better.

5. Magazines

I subscribe to way too many magazines (including Glamour), but they are my way to de-stress and I don’t regret it one single bit.

How do you de-stress?
