See Nashville! (Plus a Giveaway)

I’m super excited to link up in the Share My City linkup to show y’all Nashville, which has been my home for 5 years now (ahhhh how has it been this long??). Also, scroll down to enter an INCREDIBLE giveaway!

I moved down to Nashville in August 2009 when I started at Vanderbilt University. I stayed here for 4 years, other than summers in Maine/Boston, and moved down permanently this July.

Nashville is beautiful. The skyline, the river, it’s all great. But let me show you around the places that I go.

I know it’s pretty cloudy – it has been cloudy and gross the past few days – but this is a part of Hillsboro Village. Hillsboro has the famous Pancake Pantry, wonderful boutiques, a great hair salon, and probably my favorite cafe: Fido. I have spent so much time here over the past 5 years, and when I’m in Maine or Boston I always compare the cafes to Fido.

Fido is my favorite location for work and the local latte – my favorite latte.

Of course, Vanderbilt is also my place. I spent 4 years living here on campus, and I’m still around campus on a regular basis because of friends who haven’t graduated yet.

Vanderbilt is much prettier when it’s not gross March. So is Nashville as a whole!

Nashville is also known for the replica of the Parthenon in Centennial Park. A replica of the original, it even has an Athena statue inside!

And, of course, there is downtown Nashville. During the day, it is a place of boot shops, record stores, and plenty of tourist attractions (with a random American Apparel thrown in for good measure). At night, it’s a place of clubs, bars, honky tonks, and more. The Wildhorse Saloon has line dancing, and there is live music almost everywhere. After all, it’s Music City, USA!

And now, drumroll please, because …
We (Beverly at Halfway to FearlessErin at Two Thirds Hazel, Holly at Hey, Hollywood, Melissa at 53 Blonde, and I) are giving away an iPad Air!!

Good luck!
