I get this question a LOT. Why? Well, I’m not allowed to eat gluten, dairy, or hydrogenated oils. I’m not technically allergic to any of these things; we call it “intolerant.” And it’s not lactose intolerant, either – it’s the actual dairy products. I cut all of these things out as a part of an anti-inflammatory diet for my rheumatoid arthritis, and then discovered that if I eat them my pain increases. Super fun, right? It makes my life interesting, that’s for sure.
So you can understand why people tend to lean forward, stare at me intently, and go, “Wait, so then what can you eat?” Friends, I have the answer for you.
