I don’t know about you, but the end is in sight for me this Monday morning! At least, the end of the year. I have 2 weeks of teaching and then 1 week of exams (for my kids, that is) until winter break. That also means that today is 3 weeks until my next arthritis treatment, and my immune system needs it.
I spent this long weekend back in Boston for Thanksgiving. I flew in on Wednesday, and was greeted by puppy cuddles and homecooked food (as well as my family). For example, my mother made Julia Child’s bouef bourguignon. Trust me when I say that it is the best beef stew ever.
On Thursday, we headed out of the city to my aunt and uncle’s for Thanksgiving dinner. They had 2 friends in for the meal – since they’re not American, it was their first Thanksgiving! – and my dad’s dad and step-mom were there, too. It was the first time that I’ve seen them in many months because they live in Florida.
Plus this little fluffball made the trip from Florida, too!
On Friday, my parents got their Christmas tree.

We then spent Friday night at the Wang theater to see the musical A Christmas Story. There are some absolutely gifted children in that production – I was amazed!
I flew back on Saturday and spent Sunday doing work. I can’t believe that it is Monday again. At least there are only a couple more weeks until winter break!
