The Week That Wouldn’t End

Today is Friday, and I can’t even begin to explain how happy I am.

Do you ever have one of those days where everything seems to go wrong? Well this has been a week full of those days. It got to the point where I didn’t want to go to sleep because then I would have to wake up and start another day of it. Now that’s bad.

I don’t really want to get into a lot of it. Some of it includes information that I don’t want to put on the Internet. Some of it I just want to move past it and pretend that this week wasn’t real.

There are some things that I will share.

For example, my poor car. The Box on Wheels (a Mitsubishi montero) has been in my family for about 9 years, and it’s a 10-year-old car. It has had its fair share of problems over the years, but has been pretty good for the past couple. I brought it in for regular maintenance and because the check engine light was on.

And then it turned out that I need a new gas tank. Great. Awesome. Fantastic.

So guess where I get to go immediately after work today? The dealership.

Oh, and it was suggested that I think long and hard about whether it even makes sense for me to replace it or if I should just get a new car. Well, that’s not exactly in the budget right now.

Today I’m crossing my fingers and hoping that everything is okay, I get my car back ASAP, and I don’t have to shell out my entire savings account to pay for it. And I’m also giving thanks that it’s Friday and this week is OVER.
