Hello and happy Friday, my friends. I’m going to make this short and sweet, primarily because I’m going to be popping back around this neck of the woods over the weekend.
I’ll be back here on Sunday because I will be starting a new series of blog posts! Starting Sunday, every week (or other week – I haven’t decided yet), I will be writing about self-publishing. Self-Publishing Sundays will start as a series about the self-publishing process, because I know that a lot of people have questions about it and don’t know where to start. We’ll start as a series, and if people are interested, it may turn into a linkup, too. Let me know if you would be interested in linking up if that were to happen.
I’m taking it easy today because I pushed myself wayy too much yesterday. Drove out to school to grade for a few hours, met up with Leslin for coffee, cleaned while waiting on a meeting, hung out with another friend, and then decided at 8:45 to make cookies and put together a desk. Way too much for me.
It is so nice to be on spring break. I can’t get over it. I needed a break so badly – and I still have over a week of it! Most importantly, I needed this creative writing time. It’s back on the writing grind, starting today. I have another novel to finish! My goal is to get 20,000 words written between today and next Sunday. Over the summer, I’m hoping to finish it, or to get as close to finished with a first draft as possible.
It is beautiful in Nashville right now! A high of 72 today, and nice and sunny outside my window – couldn’t ask for a more beautiful day. I’m so glad that I live here!
Like I mentioned, I built my desk last night! Which means that I can finally go through with arranging things like how I wanted in my ideal bedroom and desk inspiration as a whole. (Let’s not talk about how I bought the desk in November and am just now putting it up…)
