Getting Real

Okay, y’all, we’re going to take a break from the sports, baking, and coffee. I’m going to (seriously) talk to you about something that’s been giving me issues in my life.

If you’re new to following me, you may not know that I have chronic illness issues – namely, rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. In about a week and a half, I go back for my next round of treatments (infusion), so at this point the medication is pretty much out of my system.

Moral of the story? Unhappy Kate.

I’ve been sleeping horribly, my pain levels are all over the place, and I’m just generally feeling rough. That’s why I didn’t post Short Story Sunday this past week. The segment’s all written, but I haven’t been feeling well enough to edit it to fit my standards. I’m hoping to get it up this weekend, but we will have to see.

Everyone, chronic illness sufferer or not, deals with bad times. I’ve just been dealing with a bit of a rough patch right now. I’ll be fine, seriously. Don’t worry about me. But the reason why I’m posting this is I want to be honest with you. You don’t have to be strong all the time. You can admit that you’re having a rough time and take some time to work on it. That’s okay.
