Maine: It’s Called Vacationland For a Reason

I was lucky enough to spend this past weekend in Bar Harbor, Maine! This year, my grandparents celebrate their 50th anniversary. Woohoo! To celebrate, our whole family went to the beautiful Mount Desert Island, where Acadia National Park is located, as well as the tourist and family favorite Bar Harbor. (PS – it’s one of the featured spots in my When in Maine post)

Step 1: Assemble family
I’m the oldest cousin, but not the tallest. Meet the Healys.

Step 2: Find beautiful place, preferably on the ocean. And in Maine.
One of the many harbors on Mt. Desert Island, where the city of Bar Harbor is.
Step 3: Find awesome t-shirts in tourist shops
Unfortunately, I didn’t buy any of these.
Step 4: Find a sunset

Step 5: Go to the top of a mountain to get some perspective.

Convinced that Maine is awesome yet? Hey, there’s a reason why we say “Maine: the way life should be.” I’m not going to lie – I miss not living here. But I know that a brand new adventure is awaiting me in Tennessee. Luckily, I can come back here every year, because it ain’t leavin.
Oh, and did you notice anything about these pictures? You can now roll over them and pin them directly! Easy peasy, right? And, by the way, I took all of them. So if you use them for anything, know that the credit belongs to me.

Whoa! We were super close to each other (I think). We were in Southport and wandered all around the surrounding harbors and coves by land and by water. It was so beautiful!
