Happy Tuesday! Now that the long weekend is over, most people are headed back to work. Since my work doesn’t start until July, I’m back to my morning routine of coffee, yoga, a protein-filled breakfast, and blogging.
In a shocking new turn of events (note: sarcasm), my weekend was low key. We actually headed north, out of the city, and to central Maine – my very, very happy place and home state!
|My favorite sight to see!|
Normally, a weekend in Maine means swimming, reading in the sun, and lots of family time. Unfortunately, a NorEastah off the coast of the Cape (and later off the coast of the Gulf of Maine) had other ideas. Below-normal temperatures and pouring rain meant a lack of swimming and reading in the sun for me.
|Gus and Piper prefer to be outside than in, but the rain stopped that.|
It didn’t, however, stop the family time. I got to spend a lot of time with 3 grandparents, 1 aunt, 1 uncle, and 2 little cousins. That makes me happy!
By the way, the rain definitely did not stop me from reading. I finished Mary, Queen of France by Jean Plaidy, as well as Wake by Lisa McMann. I’m hoping to have a post reviewing them up this week.
I hope you had a good – and sunny and dry – Memorial Day weekend. What were you up to?
