Welcome to another edition of Current Events in One Sentence, where I take a bunch of current events and can only respond to them in one sentence each. Feel free to take this idea and write your own post so long as you give credit back to me.
Bruce Jenner comes out as transgender – I am so glad that she (going with female pronouns here) can come out and live life without hiding, and I hope that many other transgender people can get to a point where they can live their truth.
Massive earthquake in Nepal – This is so sad and my thoughts and prayers are with all affected; hopefully the aftershocks are through and everyone can start getting back to normal soon.
Freddie Gray dies while in police custody – This is horrific, especially considering that his spinal cord was nearly severed; when will this end?
Kate Middleton’s second child is due any day – I’m so excited and have been anxiously checking for news for literally weeks so if this kid could be born already I would really appreciate it k thanks.
Shonda Rimes kills us all with a heartbreaking twist in Grey’s Anatomy – I gave up watching Grey’s years ago after the plane crash episode, but I’m still freaking angry with Shonda because this is unacceptable.

You summed up many of my thoughts about the current events! I hope Kate has a little girl because I'd find that precious! I don't know if I could handle if they named her first or middle name Diana in honor of Will's mum though, I might get a little weepy. As long as the child is as sassy as George though, I know I'll love them 🙂

What a week. I'm sitting here watching CNN and what's going on in Baltimore – where I spent four happy years in college. I for one am all for protest and demanding change – but not this way.
Oh, and in happier news- GO BRUCE! What an amazing interview.

One current event that you didn't mention was the ship that capsized in the Mediterranean crying immigrants; I'm so thankful Ito have been born someplace where I have opportunity and freedom even if it's not the same amount as others have (see Freddie Gray, &c.).
