One of the perks of spring break is that I have time to see one of my favorite people – my hair stylist. She is the genius who convinced me to get bangs back in December, something I have never regretted doing and have gotten so many compliments on. We’ve also talked yoga, diet, medical conditions, living in Nashville, Nashville life, backgrounds … pretty much everything. You know how it is.
We were talking about this that and the other, and our talk turned to how I’ve been having a tough time recently.
She’s very frank, which I love. She said, “Listen, someone told me ‘When it rains, it pours.’ I know you hear that all the time. But I never really got that until I was really having a bad time. Really in it. Sometimes the universe shats on you, and you need it to cleanse you for the good times.”
Honestly, that made me feel loads better. Because she’s right. Or, at least, I like to think she’s right. I’m going to believe it.
