I’ve been a writer as long as I can remember, and a reader long before that. While I’m not an award-winning writer by any means yet, I think that I’m definitely a better writer than I was 5 years ago at least. And even if when I become an award-winning writer, I’ll probably want to become a better one. So here are 8 ways that help people become better writers (other than taking a class).
1. Read a lot and regularly
2. Read different authors and different genres
3. Write a lot and regularly
4. Experiment with your writing
5. Push your limits
6. Always keep learning
7. Get feedback from others
8. Try writing different formats and genres

Reading really helps me with my writing. I like reading about a lot of non-fiction books written by celebrities. I love when celebrities actual voices transfer to their writing voices.

What a good point! I haven’t read many books by celebrities, but the ones I have read, I enjoyed because of hearing their voices in them. Are there any really good ones in particular that you’ve enjoyed?

I usually try writing something different – out of my comfort zone. I find it's refreshing and it really helps when I go back to my usual style/genre.

Yes! That can definitely work. When I do that, I usually try my hand at poetry. Really, really awful poetry.

I am so happy that I found a blogger that’s writting and is an English teacher! I love to write AND I want to be an English teacher (or an elementary school teacher). Though, my university program is “Teaching English as a Second Language” because I am French-Canadian.
What do you like to write?

Ah welcome! Just so you know, I’m no longer a teacher, as I had health problems and needed to quit. But I was trained as one and taught and am now a graduate student studying English literature.
I really love to write fiction, especially realistic fiction. My first novel was set in modern NYC!

Nice! 😀
