First Project Kate update of 2015! Woohoo! I’m so excited at what is to come this year and I know that I have made big strides so far in my self-improvement plans.
Pain has worse over the last week or so. I can feel the last bits of my infusion dripping away slowly as it takes me longer to be functional in the morning and the nights are getting worse. However, this month is a big one for me: on February 12, I will have the knee surgery that has been 4 years in the making, and on February 25 I will have my next infusion. I have been making big diet changes to try and help my body function as well as possible. I also see a chiropractor weekly which really helps my soft tissue pain as well as my joints.
All seems to be going well! I haven’t had an anxiety attack since my last update, so that’s good.
All my applications are in! Now it just comes down to waiting and finding out how I’m going to finance getting my masters.
I am doing some freelance writing and editing – if you want me to edit something of yours, email me and we can figure it out! – but other than that I do not have big plans. It’s difficult for me to get a job right now because the ones I have looked at want to start sooner rather than later, and I am not able to work until after I recover from surgery/infusion. Hopefully I’ll be doing some more in March or April!
I have also been working on my book of short stories, which I want to finish by my surgery, and then I’m going to focus on finishing my current novel.
Healthy eating has obviously been happening (see physical health), and I have been out of my shell more, as well, so that’s good. I haven’t been reading as much as I would like, so I need to change that. I am still volunteering as a tutor once a week at a Catholic school in Boston. I want to be the best me that I can be, and that involves giving back to the community.

It sounds like things are going very well so far in 2015/since the last update! I hope in the next one we hear about how your surgery and infusion went well and you're on your way to making the other items conquered!
