Find Out Who You Are

So many life updates! I didn’t realize how many things had changed until I had some questions recently about some things going on. Oh, and if you don’t follow me on Instagram, you may have missed my announcement about my grad school choice.

Dolly Parton Inspirational Quote - Kate the (Almost) Great
Physical Health
Things have been better. My knee was doing great after my surgery, healing on time and everything, until about 2 weeks ago. Then it started moving again, swelling up, turning red, etc. with increased pain. My orthopedic surgeon isn’t really worried, which is good, but something isn’t right. I see my rheumatologist today, so hopefully I can get some answers!
Mental Health

I’ve had some anxiety issues, but I think it’s mostly because I haven’t been able to do yoga like I was before surgery. I have been able to do some other natural methods of managing it, so that’s good. Hopefully I’ll be able to get back to yoga soon and overall it’ll be better soon.

Graduate School

Well, I’ve heard from all schools which means I can finally say that I’m going to Boston College!!! I’m so excited – I almost went there for undergrad, I received a scholarship, and the program is doable with my health.

Work Plans

I’m continuing to do freelance writing and editing, and I’ve actually been working on some special bundles and plans and a redo of my writing website. Overall, I’m excited for what’s coming up.

Other Plans

I’m working on some really fun writing projects! Like, really exciting ones!

As a whole, I feel like I’m on the right track. I’m doing the kind of work that I love, in the fall I’ll be starting a program that I’m excited for, and I’m doing okay. That’s why I picked that Dolly Parton quote – “Find out who you are, and do it on purpose.” That feels like an accurate description of how I’m living my life right now.
So how are you doing?

What a great quote and a positive update! A lot of exciting things going on. Congratulations on making your decision for Boston! It's a city that's only a few hours away from me but somehow I've barely spent any time there. I know there's so much to see and do, though!
Hope your Monday is going well 🙂
