Okay, so spring may just be around the corner, but it is never too early to start thinking about your skincare regimen. If you are like me, you will probably want to reduce sun damage to your skin. While it’s nice to get outside and soak up the rays, it has to be done so in a safe way. After all, safety is a must when it comes to skin care.
Preventing sun damage is a must for any babe. Here are some of my top tips for beating the sun’s rays this summer.
Tip 1: Always Wear Sun Block
Sun block, sunscreen, whatever you want to call it; it’s time to lather it on. I like to use a high strength factor 50 sun block while the sun is just peeking through the clouds. After all, it’s important to prevent damage before it occurs. When it comes to the sun, there is nothing better than feeling the warm breeze on your skin. But, this can be dangerous. So, if you want to have a gorgeous, healthy glow, lather on the sun screen. The higher the factor the better! You cannot miss out using this. Don’t use things like sun oils and carrot oils in place of sun cream. These tend to have a lower SPF factor, but they can also cause you to have breaks out. Believe me, I found this out the hard way!

Tip 2: Mind Your Make Up
As the summer is approaching, I’m keen to start replenishing my make up bag ready for the new season. I find that sourcing makeup that has an SPF factor in it is one of the best ways to prevent sun damage. Usually, foundations and powders have a SPF factor of 15 in them. While this is not a high factor by any means, it’s perfect for the coming spring when the sun’s rays are less intense. I always choose a makeup that has SPF within it. That way, I can look fabulous and beat the curse of wrinkles. It’s a no brainer!
Tip 3: Reversing Damage (It Can Be Done!)
Okay, so when I was younger I decided that lying out in the sun all day was going to give me that healthy, golden glow. It did. But, it has brought on some issues. Freckles and dark spots from excessive sun worshipping can be a blight on our flawless skin. But, these can be reversed. Things like facial fillers can restore your skins natural, bright glow. Take a look at http://www.dianewaldermd.com/Cosmetic-Procedures/Soft-Tissue-Fillers.htm for more information. It’s great for changing the issues that are commonly associated with skin damage. If you want to a more natural way of reversing the damage, there is a lot to be said for the humble blueberry. Eating antioxidant rich foods can plump out your skins natural collagen. It’s the perfect solution to beating blemishes and to reversing the impact of the sun.
Tip 4: Make Your Lips Kissable and Protect Them Too!
Hands up if you are guilty of forgetting your lips in the summer? Me too! It’s the worst thing that we can do. We are all so keen to put lip balm on in the winter to prevent drying, but we don’t apply anything in the summer. Our lips can be prone to sunburn that can also produce wrinkles. So, make sure that you are putting on lip protection balm.

Being -100 level pale this has always been a big concern of mine. All of these tips are huge, even when it's not 90 degrees and sunny. I've found more clothing designers are starting to use fabric that has some sun repellent in it too.
