Mary Kay Makeup Review

I’m doing something a little different today and talking about beauty products!

mary kay product review

Disclaimer: I received these products through Influenster to review. All opinions are my own.

In my fantastic MKGlam box, I received 7 products and 2 brushes.

1. Mary Kay Lash Love Mascara in I <3 Black
2. Mary Kay Gel Eyeliner with Expandable Blush Applicator in Jet Black
3. Mary Kay Cream Eye Color in Apricot Twist
4. Mary Kay Bronzing Powder
5. Mary Kay Mineral Cheeck Color in Shy Blush
6. Mary Kay NouriShine Plus Lip Gloss in Mango Tango
7. Mary Kay Translucent Loose Powder

I also got the eye color/concealer brush and overall face brush.

In using these products, I have had nothing but good experiences. My only struggle has been having the situation to wear them at! I’ve worn the mascara, bronzing powder, and loose powder at least every other day since I got them. The mascara looks natural – so it doesn’t look like I’m wearing an insane amount of mascara or anything – which I love. The bronzer is the perfect shade for me. And the powder keeps my face from looking oily all day long.

The blush, gel eyeliner, cream eye color, and lip gloss are all also beautiful products. They go on smooth and definitely help glam up a look. These are the products that I wish I had the situation to wear more! I have especially been impressed with the lip gloss. I normally don’t wear lip gloss because of how sticky it is, but it its beautiful and brightens up the face without being as bright as red. (Although I do love a good red lipstick.) The eyeliner is great, but it’s just too dark for me to wear to work.

Mary Kay eyeliner creme eye shadow translucent powder review

I also got 2 brushes: a face powder brush and a cream brush (eye shadow or concealer). I love the cream brush because it is so soft and helps the cream eye color go on so smoothly. I really like the face brush, too, and use it every day with the translucent powder.

Mary Kay product review
My desk has been taken over by makeup recently. The items in a red box are my Mary Kay products that I have out right now. Like I said, I use many of them daily!

I’m so glad that I got this box from Influenster. I’ve loved the products, and I’m hoping to have a chance to use the ones like the eye liner soon.

Have you used Mary Kay products before? What are your thoughts on them?

I have worn and sold Mary Kay for years. I had the red car in the 90's, but it's a lot of work and with 2 children, I just couldn't keep the pace. I still wear it and still sell enough to get my products at 1/2 price. Love Mary Kay.

I'm struggling right now with my broken foot, which brings back a lot of tough memories. That plus being due for Rituxan and the heat starting up has made things hard. ⁣

Here are somethings I do: ⁣
▪ Stick with my routine⁣
▪ Make recipes that I really enjoy⁣
▪ Work on embroidery projects so I can do something productive that involves stabbing fabric⁣
▪ Cut myself slack ⁣
▪ Get Harley hugs⁣

FAQ: Have you tried [insert supplement here]? As FAQ: Have you tried [insert supplement here]?

As with all things, what’s true for me might not be true for others. I’m sure there are plenty of RA patients who do respond well to supplements; I’m just not one of them.

Additionally, at one point, I refer to being on chemo since 2012. As always, the chemo I’m referring to is Rituxan, which is my RA treatment. I do not have cancer nor have I ever claimed to.

Video: Kate talks to the camera. Text at the beginning reads “FAQ: Have you tried [insert supplement here]?” and other text later reads “*24” to correct when she says “symptoms for 21 years”. There are captions.

Week 19 of #2026Weekly I’m not going to lie - my Week 19 of #2026Weekly

I’m not going to lie - my life now focuses even more on maintaining my body. Trying to avoid foot surgery + keep my bone density up so I don’t break another bone for a while on top of all the other things I do to manage my 10+ illnesses … it’s a lot of work. I did go to actual work this week lol but my camera roll is all chronic illness stuff this week.

1️⃣ The machine that will hopefully prevent surgery!!! Every day, I do 40 minutes of this ultrasound machine (20 min on 1 fracture, 20 min on the other) and it will speed up healing 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
2️⃣ Continuing my exercise routine per my endocrinologist. Up to 30 minutes of Pilates 4 days a week … and since I don’t do exercises requiring pressure on my feet, the cast comes off.
