Top Drugstore Makeup

As you probably know (if you’ve been reading this blog for at least a month), I love makeup. However, I don’t like makeup prices some times. Like many people, I started wearing drugstore makeup before I moved on to higher end pieces. But over the past few years, the drugstore companies have been making better and better products, so I actually use a mix of high end (ie sold in Sephora) and drugstore. Today I want to share what I think are the top drugstore makeup products for your entire face. Check the out and be sure to comment with what you think are the best ones!

This post contains affiliate links. Thank you for supporting Kate the (Almost) Great!

I'm sharing the top drugstore makeup out there! Get your full face done without spending hundreds of dollars on it.

Foundation & Primer – Rimmel London Stay Matte Primer is absolutely amazing, and if you like full coverage, you need to check out their Stay Matte foundation, too! I also really loved the Revlon ColorStay Foundation.

Concealer & Color Corrector – I’ve always loved Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Eraser for under eyes, as well as their Cover Stick colored concealers for color correcting. It comes in green and yellow. I’ve also heard really good things about Wet N Wild’s Photo Focus Correcting Palette for color correcting.

Bronzer, Blush, & Highlighter – I absolutely adore NYX’s Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator. It’s amazing and gorgeous for us pale girls. I’ve also enjoyed Milani’s Baked Blush. As for bronzer, I don’t really wear any because I’m super freaking pale and I’ve never found one that works and doesn’t make me look ridiculous. However, one of my favorite YouTubers RachhLoves swears by the Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer.

I'm sharing the top drugstore makeup out there for all of your makeup needs, from foundation to eyeliner and everything in between. Some of it is better than its higher-end counterparts!

Brows – My absolute favorite is ColourPop’s brow pencil. I’m not sure if this counts as “drugstore” since it’s not sold in one, but I’m going to include it because its price is definitely drugstore price.

Mascara – All I’ll say here is that I love Maybelline’s Lash Sensational mascara and send you over to the entire blog post I did about drugstore vs. high-end mascara.

Eyeliner – My favorite colored eyeliner pencil is from Almay, and my favorite near-white eyeliner is Wet N Wild. In my typical daily makeup, I use a brown pencil eyeliner for the top of my eye and a pink-close-to-white pencil eyeliner in my waterline to make my eyes look more awake. As for liquid eyeliner, the L’Oreal Linear Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner is amazing. Its felt tip makes it super easy to do a little cat eye.

Eye Shadow – I really like the eyeshadow from ColourPop, and have a self-made palette with Pep Talk; Liar, Liar; Hear Me Out; and Let Me Explain. These are all golden and pinks, some sparkly and some matte, and I love their consistency and color payoff. On the other hand, while I haven’t used the palettes from Cover Girl, I’ve seen really good things, including that their palettes can be dupes for the Naked palettes.

Love makeup? Don't want to spend a ton of money on it? Here I recap the top drugstore makeup out there. Some of these are actually better than their higher-end counterparts!

I know everyone raves about the Maybelline Age Rewind, butI have serious dark circles under my eyes and I think it just doesn’t cut it! But I seem to be the only one who thinks this. My fave drugstore product is the L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara. Volume without the clump for less than $10!

FAQ: Have you tried [insert supplement here]? As FAQ: Have you tried [insert supplement here]?

As with all things, what’s true for me might not be true for others. I’m sure there are plenty of RA patients who do respond well to supplements; I’m just not one of them.

Additionally, at one point, I refer to being on chemo since 2012. As always, the chemo I’m referring to is Rituxan, which is my RA treatment. I do not have cancer nor have I ever claimed to.

Video: Kate talks to the camera. Text at the beginning reads “FAQ: Have you tried [insert supplement here]?” and other text later reads “*24” to correct when she says “symptoms for 21 years”. There are captions.

Week 19 of #2026Weekly I’m not going to lie - my Week 19 of #2026Weekly

I’m not going to lie - my life now focuses even more on maintaining my body. Trying to avoid foot surgery + keep my bone density up so I don’t break another bone for a while on top of all the other things I do to manage my 10+ illnesses … it’s a lot of work. I did go to actual work this week lol but my camera roll is all chronic illness stuff this week.

1️⃣ The machine that will hopefully prevent surgery!!! Every day, I do 40 minutes of this ultrasound machine (20 min on 1 fracture, 20 min on the other) and it will speed up healing 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
2️⃣ Continuing my exercise routine per my endocrinologist. Up to 30 minutes of Pilates 4 days a week … and since I don’t do exercises requiring pressure on my feet, the cast comes off.
